J-orientation’s custom-tailored services are designed to help international students, researchers, business professionals, and their families make life in Japan a positive experience and help ease their minds.
J-orientation offers solutions that mainly include translation and interpretation services for matters ranging from administration procedures to interact with professionals in the public and private sector.
We work closely with you to create the best service and provide independent advice tailored to your specific needs.
We also offer everyday living support for organizations, companies, and universities.
Services are offered in English or Japanese.
We offer services directly face-to-face (only in Higashi-Hiroshima-city) / by email/telephone/video conferencing.
J-orientation will:
Interpretation Service (Japanese-English)
(In-person Interpretation Services within Higashi-Hiroshima City, Japan / Video Remote Interpretation)
- ■ Help you and your organization to communicate. (Using one of your devices such as your smartphone, tablet, or computer, you can connect to our interpreter via. Zoom, Skype, FaceTime, etc.)
- ■ On-demand video interpreting is ideal for at home, medical settings (hospitals, private practices, clinics, home-visit nursing care, etc.), education (nurseries, kindergartens, schools, parent-teacher conferences), government agencies, social services, etc.)
Pre-arrival Advice
- ■ Free Initial Consultation for 30 minutes.
- ■ Communicate you with answers to questions about coming to Japan with your child.
- ■ Send you information about your neighborhoods, schools, childcare, medical services, and so on.
Childcare Assistance
- ■ Give you information about raising children in Japan such as education, health services, playgroups, culture, sports, shops, bazaars, etc.
- ■ Give you information on local events at “jidoukan” (children’s halls), nurseries, and kindergartens so your family can meet other families.
- ■ Help you shop for baby, school, and other everyday supplies.
- ■ Help you with medical checkups and vaccinations.
Child-care Facilities and School Search Service
- ■ Help you look for schools for your children.
- ■ Provide local advice on schooling for every age, including daycare and pre-schools.
- ■ Help you compare each school’s curriculum, entrance requirements, and application procedures.
- ■ Arrange for school visits and accompany you and your family where necessary.
- ■ Help you fill out application forms, read school guidebooks, and interpret and translate information about school schedules, activities, buses, and meals.
- ■ Help you complete and submit applications to schools.
- ■ Help you communicate with the school. With you, we will:
1. Assist at school orientations.
2. Translate and explain school notices if you send us a photo of them.
3. Assist go to the school for parent-teacher meetings.
4. Go to the school to talk with the teachers or school about your child’s progress.
Orientation/Familiarization
- ■ Give you an orientation about Japanese life, public transportation, food, daily necessities, school supplies, banking and ATMs, and so on.
- ■ Teach you about your neighborhood (e.g. shopping, transportation, waste collection days, schools, clinic, religious needs, etc. Area we cover: Higashi-Hiroshima City and Kyoto-city).
Post-Arrival Assistance
- ■ Assist with personal registrations (medical insurance, child allowance, national pension, bank account, private medical insurance, electricity, gas, broadband, TV license, cell phone, Wi-Fi service, etc.)
- ■ Help you at the immigration office, city offices, businesses, real estate companies, schools, child-care facilities, medical facilities, post office, banks, tax office, public notary office, etc.
Help you schedule appointments. - ■ Interpret, translate, and explain mail you get for things such as notifications of child allowance, medical checkups, vaccinations, child health care expense subsidies, cancer screening coupons, “My Number” related forms, etc.
- ■ Help you talk with neighbors when you are moving in, and help you join neighborhood associations, community festivals, events, and disaster drills.
- ■ Help you with the moving-out procedure. (Inform your landlord of your move-out date, dispose of large items, call to shut off utilities, cancel your cell phone contract, cancel your internet contract, cancel your insurance, have your mail forwarded (only to a Japanese address), inform the city hall/ward office that you are leaving, etc.)

Please feel free to ask us to help you with any other issues you might have. Though we can’t guarantee we will solve all problems, we will do what we can. Our staffs are well-connected to the local community. So if we can’t answer your question, we will give some information to help you answer your question.

通訳 （日本語-英語）
- ■ 通訳サービスを通してコミュニケーションのお手伝いをします。（東広島市内での通訳、または、Zoom / Skype / FaceTime / LINEビデオ通話等のシステムを活用した遠隔で通訳サービスをどの地域からでもご利用いただけます。)
- ■ 生活に関わる様々な場面でご利用いただけます。（ご自宅・病院や訪問診療、通院、ケア・訪問介護などの医療に関わる場面、保育園・幼稚園・学校・面談等の教育現場、自治体窓口、地域活動などでの生活に関わるあらゆる場面）
渡航前
- ■お申し込み前に無料Skype/Zoom・電話・メールでの相談をご利用いただけます。
- 日本で新生活を始めるにあたり、考えられる心配や悩みごとについてご相談ください。
- 来日前に子育てに関する地域の情報をお伝えします。たとえば、地域の環境、学校制度、子育て、健康・医療に関する情報や制度についでです。
子育てアシスタンス
- ■ お客様のご希望をお伺いし、お子様の教育に関する情報をお伝えします。たとえば、保育園、幼稚園、学校、健康や保健、地域の集まりや習い事、子ども用品の購入場所やバザー開催の情報などです。
- ■ 地域の「子育てひろば」、児童館、保育園、幼稚園で小さな子ども向けに開催される集まりなど、地域の人とのつながりをつくるための場所へ同行します。
- ■ 赤ちゃん用品、お子様の学用品・日用品の購入についてアドバイスし購入場所まで同行します。
- ■ お子様の乳児健診と予防接種時に医療機関、または保健センターへ同行しサポートをいたします。J-オリエンテーションは、お客様と医師または保健師との間の通訳は行いません。同行の目的は、コミュニケーションや言語の問題を解決することと、その場での手続きのご案内をすることです。
教育アシスタンス
- ■ 就学するお子様の教育施設探しをお手伝いします。ご希望のエリア、教育環境、進路希望等をお伺いし、教育施設の詳細をお伝えします。
- ■ 幼稚園/保育園/学校への訪問と面談の設定を行います。
- ■ 入学願書と学校生活ガイドブック概要の受け取り、学校生活に関する事柄（たとえば、一日のスケジュールや準備するもの、毎日の持ち物、通園通学方法、給食の有無など）の説明と、願書やガイドブックの翻訳を行います。
- ■ お子様の入園・入学に際し、それらに関する書類の記入と提出に同行し、複雑な書類記入の煩わしさを軽減します。
- ■ 入学・入園後のサポートを行い、園・学校とのコミュニケーションをサポートします。①入学、入園説明会へ同行します。②園・学校からご家庭へ配布されるお知らせの説明または翻訳をします。③学校での懇談時に同行します。④お子様の教育・学校生活に関する相談時に同行します。
オリエンテーション
- ■ 新しい生活を始める際の一般的なオリエンテーションとアドバイスを提供します。内容は、公共交通機関の回数券などを使ったお得な利用方法、輸入食品を扱うお店、食品、日用品、学用品の購入、ATMの利用、カウンセリングや相談先の案内について。
- ■ お客様とご家族のニーズに合わせた情報をお伝えします。例：地元のお店、公共交通機関の利用方法、お買い物、ゴミの収集、教育機関、医療機関、ハラル対応のスーパー、日用品の選び方と購入場所など。
生活のためのアシスタンス
- ■ 電気・水道・ガスの手続きについてご案内し同行します。
- ■ 銀行口座開設をお手伝いします。
- ■ 携帯電話、Wi-Fi契約のお手伝いをします。ご希望に合わせた携帯電話会社の契約や購入、解約のために販売店へ同行し円滑なコミュニケーションのためのサポートをいたします。
- ■ 生活のための登録や手続きをする場面で、手続きを円滑に行うために導き、サポートを行います。例：入国管理局、区市町村役所、オフィス、不動産会社、病院、学校、保育園、幼稚園、医療機関、郵便局、銀行、税務署、公証人役場など。（お客様の代行者として登録や手続きを行うサービスではありません。同行の目的は、コミュニケーションや言語の問題を解決することと、その場での手続きのご案内をすることです。）
- ■ 前サービス項目に関する手続きの際、事前予約が必要な場合、訪問先へ予約を行います。
- ■ 開封済郵便物及び生活に関わるあらゆる書類についてその内容が分からないものについて、口頭で説明、返信、または翻訳をします。書類の例示：児童手当に関わる書類、乳児検診のお知らせ、予防接種のお知らせ、子ども医療費助成の案内、乳がん検診のクーポン、マイナンバーに関する書類、ご不在連絡票など。
- ■ ご近所や町内会との円滑なコミュニケーションのためのお手伝いをします。（例示：転居の挨拶時、地域のお祭り準備や参加、催しや防災訓練参加など。）
- ■ 引越やご帰国の際の手続きをサポートします。（退去届の記入・提出、粗大ごみ処理、電気ガス水道等の使用停止の連絡、携帯電話契約解約、インターネット・プロバイダー契約解約、保険解約、郵便物の転送手続き（日本の住所にのみ）、転出届提出など。）
